ANDROID VS IOS

ANDROID VS IOS

At first I would like to tell something, or you can say I would like to introduce you to Android and iOS, but I think it is not needed. Whatever let's begin with Android and then iOS.

ANDROID

Android actually means a robot with a human appearance, literally a human robot, but the Android which I am talking about is a little different. Well here Android is a mobile operating system developed by Google. It is based on the Linux kernel and designed primarily for touchscreen mobile devices. We use it in everyday smartphones and tablets. We can do several things using touch gestures like swiping, tapping and pinching, to manipulate on-screen objects, along with a virtual keyboard for text input.

IOS

iOS(originally iPhone OS) is a mobile operating system created and developed by Apple Inc. and distributed exclusively for Apple hardware. Is is the operating system that presently powers many of the company's mobile devices, including the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. The iOS user interface is based on the concept of direct manipulation, using multi-touch gestures. You can control the functions of the device with the help of sliders, switches, and buttons along with gestures such as swipe, tap, pinch, and reverse pinch, all of which have specific definitions within the context of the iOS operating system.

So, here we end with all introductions. Now its time for the battle!

ANDROID VS IOS

For the battle we will be consider three main key points.

  1. User Interface and Experience
  2. Speed
  3. Accessibility and Affordability

USER INTERFACE AND EXPERIENCE

Both the OS have touch screen abilities and almost every controls are same. But iOS for all Apple devices are almost same whereas for Android it depends on the manufacturer. While most mobile phone manufacturers like the original interface of Android but some manufacturers add their extra bit of touch to make it more fine. So, it depends of the phone you are using.

In the case of user experience iOS(iOS 7) has beaten Android. It has got higher ratings because of the fine and smooth user experience.

SPEED

An iPhone 6s handily beat a Samsung Galaxy Note 7. iOS can handle the same apps much more smoothly than Android. The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 has better hardware specs and is much newer phone compared with the iPhone 6s, but as the iPhone 6s has iOS it has the ability of beating Android in a speed test.

ACCESSIBILITY AND AFFORDABILITY

Well in this case all of us knows that iPhone is more costly that most of the Android phones. You need big pocket to bye the latest iPhone whereas you can get a good Android phone in budget price. So, that is why Android is more affordable than iOS making it more accessible to common people.

CONCLUSION

So, iOS wins because it has beaten Android in the case of USER INTERFACE AND EXPERIENCE and SPEED.
